Hi Jason. Rob Myran (in Wisconsin) here. I am looking forward to the second Volume of Phobos. I have the 1st Volume and the card deck you made for the publishing, plus a bookmark and sticker sheet. I just went through my collection of your work. I have all six volumes of Sithrah, 2 Volumes of Remind, The Dreams of Enoch, Shapes Volume one (did you do more?), Brubaker Early Comics & Art, 1992 - 1996, Both Cognitive Drawing books, and a slim comic intro to CAVE with your Plato's Cave. Did CAVE ever take off? In never heard a thing about it again.

I discovered you are my #1 collection of current artist/illustrators followed by Jake Parker.

Your email about Phobos 2 made me take everything out and I think it is time to read my collection again.

I hope your summer is going well and you are having success in your endeavors in this scary economy.

My wife, Rikki, and I are doing our raised bed gardens, not traveling to far or often (because we don't have to) making repairs to our 14 year old manufactured home, and in general, just checking in to the news and interweb watching the fuckery continue. My main diversion is riding my e-bike and taking doing some wildlife photography.

Hi Rob! Thanks so much for the message! It really inspires me to keep going. I work under a rock most of the time and so I tend to start thinking that nobody cares about what I'm working on. So this give me great encouragement to think that my work is your largest collection. :)

As for your question about SHAPES, no there is no other volume. I don't know why they put Volume 1 on the cover because there were no plans to make a second volume. haha

You and your wife sound similar to me. After remodeling my trailer house a few years back, I've gotten the itch to remodel my grandmothers manufactured home this summer. (it's been empty since she died in 2008) but it's a wonderful location right on the snake river and so I'm trying to make it so that my parents and I can stay there more often to get away from the craziness. I haven't ridden my e-bike much this last few years but I love it when I do.

Well, back to work on Phobos for me. Thanks again for the message!

Jason

Thanks for the reply. I am glad my message helped. So many people look at artist's work and outreach only in terms of sales, but don't understand the solitary nature of the work and the need, wondering if there is anyone out there.

Your Grandmothers place seems to be a worthwhile remodel on a great location. New manufactured homes have gotten insanely expensive. I sometimes look at them on Youtube not to buy but for ideas for improvements on mine. Get on that e-bike when you can. It is such fun and gets me out for 30 mile rides on pedal assist one. I can travel farther and see more and not get tired or bored.
